The Man of Steel
Joseph Stalin held the position of of the General secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. During his reign, he turned the Russian people into a working nation in order to achieve greatness through an industrial revolution. Stalin used communism to deprive the population of any sort of property in order to exploit resources for the development of the nation. Millions were killed as a cause of these actions as they were left to starve or die from illness due to lack of resources. Approximately 49 million people were killed due to his actions. The general population was left to starve and they were now regretting their decision of choosing Joseph Stalin as their leader. Nonetheless, the population within Moscow was delighted to have Stalin. All the resources were shared amongst the wealthy and powerful. One part of the population strived and developed as a community while the other was forced to work in horrendous conditions and essentially left to starve ("Joseph Stalin (1879 - 1953)").

Conclusion
Joseph Stalin was a man driven by his selfish ambitions and he would trample over anybody who got in his way in order to achieve his goals. His radical ideals are what rove the cold war to be so tense and complicated. Without his plans to invade neighbouring countries or the communist mindset and government to have manipulated the people of Russia, the cold war would have not been the same due to a simple lack of reason for conflict.
